EYELET_LOOP_SWEATER has a loose fit and classic round neck. The sweater is detailed with characteristic ribbing edges and a feminine eyelet pattern, and is finished with garter ridges.
The sweater is worked from top to bottom. Stitches are first cast on for the back piece, which is worked back and forth with short rows to shape the upper back. Then stitches are picked up along the shoulder edge and the shoulders are worked back and forth individually. The 2 shoulders are joined for the front piece by casting on stiches mid-front. The front and back piece are joined, and the body is worked in the round. The body is finished with an eyelet and ribbing pattern then with garter ridges. Neckline stitches are picked up around the neck opening and the neckband is worked in the round in ribbing. To create a nice finish the last four rounds are worked in double knitting and then finished with Italian bind off. Sleeve sts are picked up around the armhole and the sleeves are worked in the round and finished in the same way as the body – with a ribbing edge, eyelets and garter ridges.
